Earth Day Is a Daily Habit for Us
Earth Day stopped being a single day for us a long time ago.
At VistaTek and SelfEco Garden, it has become part of how we work every day. Not perfectly. Not all at once. Just steadily.
We compost in house. We recycle what we can. We keep looking for ways to reduce waste. Employees use reusable mugs instead of throwaway cups. People bring reusable containers from home. Even the money we get back from recycling aluminum, steel, and plastic goes into a small improvement fund that helps us keep doing better.
None of this is complicated. It just takes consistency.

Looking Beyond Our Own Walls
As we worked to improve our own facility, it became clear that many companies want to do better too. They just do not always know where to start.
Manufacturing materials matter more than most people realize. The right material choice can reduce waste, lower impact, and still meet performance needs.
That is why we started sharing material options that offer greener alternatives for current and future products. Some companies need recyclable materials. Others want to use recycled content. Some are ready for bio based materials made from plants, cellulose, or biomass.
There is no single right answer.
What matters is that these materials are available now and can be used without waiting years for new systems to catch up.

Sustainability Looks Different for Everyone
Some companies are ready to move fast. Others need to take smaller steps.
Using post consumer materials. Switching to recyclable inputs. Testing bio based options. All of these count.
The goal is progress, not perfection.
That same thinking applies to our garden products.
Plantable pots help gardeners reduce plastic waste without changing how they plant.
Our 3 inch round plantable pot works well for starting plants and small transplants.

The 4 inch round pot is a good fit for vegetables, herbs, and larger starts.

For growers who need more durability, compostable options like the Eco 3.0 Grande pot offer strength while still reducing plastic use.

Better materials make better habits easier.

Staying Focused During Uncertain Times
In 2020, COVID changed priorities for everyone.
We understood that safety and health came first. We continued producing products that were needed during that time. But we never walked away from sustainability.
The work did not stop. It just kept moving quietly in the background.
When the time is right and you are ready to talk about sustainability in your own programs, we are here.
Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. And keep working toward something better tomorrow.
