It is International Forest Day, and that always gets me thinking.

Forests do a lot of quiet work. They clean air. They protect soil. They support wildlife. And once they are gone, they are not easy to replace.

Planting trees is not a perfect solution to every environmental problem. But it is a meaningful one. It shows intent. It shows responsibility.

Here are ten companies that plant a tree for every product sold. Different industries. Different products. Same idea.

1. Woodchuck USA

Buy one product. Plant one tree.

Woodchuck USA believes people should feel more connected to nature. They partner with American Forests to plant a tree for every item sold. The goal is simple. Give back what is used and help restore forests for the future.

2. tentree

tentree looks beyond planting trees alone.

Their focus includes restoring land, supporting local communities, and creating long term change. Tree planting helps improve soil, provide resources, and create jobs in the regions where they work.

Their projects reach across the globe, targeting areas that benefit the most from reforestation.

3. WeWOOD

WeWOOD makes watches using mostly reclaimed wood.

For every watch sold, a tree is planted. Since starting this effort, hundreds of thousands of trees have gone into the ground through their partners.

The idea is simple. Use natural materials and help restore what is taken.

4. etnies

etnies launched its Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree program years ago.

For every pair of select shoes sold, a tree is planted in rainforest regions. The program started in Costa Rica and expanded to other parts of the world.

The result is over one million trees planted through consistent action over time.

5. Baron Fig

Baron Fig makes notebooks and tools for people who create.

For every notebook sold, they plant a tree. It is their way of giving back to the environment and thanking customers at the same time.

Small products. Long term impact.

6. good seeds apparel

Good Seeds Apparel plants one tree for every order placed.

Their work supports rural communities and helps restore land while improving food access. The name fits the mission. Plant good seeds and help change lives.

7. Wave Tribe

Wave Tribe partners with Trees for the Future to plant trees in Brazil.

They call it Buy One, Get One Tree. These trees support agroforestry systems that provide food, fuel, and protection for soil and water.

It is a reminder that tree planting can support entire systems, not just landscapes.

8. Trinity Oaks

Trinity Oaks keeps it simple.

Buy a bottle of wine and they plant a tree. There is no cap on how many trees they will plant.

They work with Trees for the Future, supporting large scale reforestation efforts across the world while also promoting education in the United States.

10. Pacific Shaving Company

Pacific Shaving Company has planted a tree for every purchase since 2007.

Working with Trees for the Future, they focus on balancing personal care products with responsible business practices.

It is a long running example of consistency over time.

Why I Pay Attention to This

Planting a tree does not solve everything. But it does show that a company is thinking past the sale.

That same thinking is what drives my work.

Whether it is planting trees or reducing plastic waste, progress comes from small actions done over and over again.

That is how real change happens.
