10 Companies that Plant a Tree for Every Product You Buy - Pt. 2
I like seeing companies put real effort behind their values.
Planting a tree for every product sold is not a perfect solution, but it is a clear signal. It shows a company is thinking past the sale and trying to give something back.
A while ago, we shared a list of companies doing this well. This is another group that caught my attention. Different industries. Different products. Same idea.
Here are ten more companies that plant a tree for every product you buy.
1. Oh My Woodness!
Oh My Woodness creates eyewear made from wood and bamboo. Their products are colorful, playful, and clearly designed to stand out.
What I like is that they tie every purchase to real tree planting through Eden Projects. Each item sold helps plant trees in places like Haiti, Madagascar, and Nepal. These projects also create jobs and support local communities.
It is a good reminder that design and responsibility do not have to compete.
2. Bountiful Board Co.
Bountiful Board Co. makes cutting boards meant to last a lifetime.
From the start, they struggled with the idea of cutting down trees to make their products. Their answer was simple. For every board sold, they plant a tree.
Tree planting is only part of their mission. They focus on long term impact and supporting people both locally and globally. The goal is to give back more than they take.
That mindset matters.
3. Landyachtz
Skateboarding does not require fuel. It does not create emissions. It is simple movement powered by people.
Landyachtz builds on that idea by planting one tree for every board they make and sell. They partner with groups that focus on tree planting, education, and long term land management.
The more boards they sell, the more trees they plant. It is a direct connection.
4. Amour Vert
Fashion is one of the most polluting industries in the world. Amour Vert was built to challenge that.
They focus on local manufacturing, non toxic dyes, sustainable fabrics, and low waste production. For every tee sold, they plant a tree in North America through American Forests.
They have already planted well over one hundred thousand trees. That tells me this is not just a marketing idea.
5. Cardànas Shoes
Cardànas makes shoes using natural materials like cotton, rubber, and leather.
Environmental responsibility is built into their values. Through their Green Steps project, they plant a tree for every pair of shoes sold.
Their first milestone was planting three hundred trees in Ecuador after selling their first three hundred pairs. It is small scale, but it is real.
6. Thymes
Thymes is a Minnesota based company known for its Frasier Fir fragrance.
They created a program called Plant One Tree to support restoration efforts in the Chippewa National Forest. For every product sold in select collections, a tree is planted.
Their goal is to plant one hundred thousand trees. It is a direct way to give back to the landscape that inspired their products.
7. Zavida
Zavida is a family run coffee company with roots in Canada and Costa Rica.
In 2011, they committed to planting a tree for every product sold on their website. It does not matter if you buy a large bag or a small one. A tree gets planted.
Their long term goal is to plant one million trees worldwide. That is a big target, but they are moving toward it one sale at a time.
8. MANG
MANG focuses on coastal ecosystems and mangrove habitats.
Mangroves protect shorelines and support marine life. They are also disappearing fast.
For every product sold, MANG plants one mangrove. Their goal is simple. Restore habitats and raise awareness at the same time.
This is a good example of a company tying its mission directly to the environment it depends on.
9. 4EST Shades
4EST designs sunglasses made from bamboo and wood instead of plastic.
Bamboo grows fast and is easier on the environment than oil based materials. For every purchase, 4EST plants two trees.
That extra step stands out. They are not just replacing what is used. They are trying to grow more than they take.
10. DETOX Paddle Co.
DETOX Paddle Co. builds paddle boards for people who spend time on the water.
Their approach is simple. For every board sold, they plant a tree in your honor.
It is not complicated. It is a clear promise tied to every product.
Why This Matters
Planting trees will not fix everything. But it is a start.
I pay attention to companies that take responsibility for their footprint instead of ignoring it. That same thinking is what led me to design plantable and compostable garden products.
When you give people better options, change happens faster.
That is true whether you are planting trees, reducing plastic, or growing plants.
